and I are with the work. (We aren’t the only ones; many of our neighbors have stopped to tell us how good everything looks!)

I’d like to comment on some specific things that I observed during the project: The first is the exceptionally substantial underground “deadman” system. It had at least twice the support of those I’ve seen at other jobs. This is extremely important for the longevity of the bulkhead and increased value of the whole installation. Next, and certainly no less important, was the crew who did the work. They arrived promptly onsite each morning, worked consistently and efficiently, and at day’s end, left the site in a neat and orderly condition, ready for the next day’s work. All of them were courteous, helpful and flexible when we needed to ask for adjustments along the way. We are especially pleased with the care they took to preserve a special tree that infringed on their work area.

Finally, Nancy Scardillo at the office handled the paperwork and answered our questions in a very pleasant and efficient manner.
