Foundation Piles
Foundation piles aren’t new to the Jersey Shore, but following Sandy, they’re much more prevalent. Many homeowners in coastal towns and on and around the Barnegat Bay will be required to raise their home to meet federal flood elevation requirements. Foundation piles are the first step to raising a home and securing it against future storms. In fact, homes that were built on foundation piles before Sandy fared much better than those on traditional concrete slab or other other foundations.
